These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern the services provided by VIP Boarding & Daycare ("we," "us," or "our") located at 5601 Heindon Rd, Arcata, CA 95521. By boarding your pet, enrolling in daycare, or using any of our services, you (the "Owner") agree to these Terms.

Vaccination & health requirements

All dogs must be current on Rabies, Bordetella, and DHLPP vaccinations; we highly recommend K-9 influenza and Lepto vaccines. All cats must be current on Rabies and FVRCP. Vaccinations must be administered at least 10 days prior to boarding or daycare, or a valid titer test must be provided. We reserve the right to refuse service to any pet that does not meet these requirements or that appears to be ill, injured, or infested with parasites.

Reservations & payment

Reservations are recommended and subject to availability. Payment is due at the time of service unless otherwise arranged. Prepaid daycare packages are non-refundable and non-transferable. Rates are subject to change; the rates in effect at the time of service will apply. After-hours drop-off or pick-up may be arranged in advance for an additional fee.

Pet behavior & temperament

Group play participation is at our discretion and depends on each pet's behavior and temperament. Intact (unneutered) dogs may join group play only if they demonstrate appropriate behavior. We may separate, individually rotate, or remove any pet from group play at any time to protect the safety of all animals and staff. You represent that your pet has not shown aggressive behavior or bitten any person or animal, and you agree to disclose any known behavioral issues.

Medical care & emergencies

We will administer medications that can be given with food or treats; we do not give injections. In the event your pet becomes ill or injured, we will make reasonable efforts to contact you and your veterinarian, and we may seek veterinary care as we deem necessary. You authorize us to obtain such care, and you agree to be financially responsible for all resulting veterinary and transportation costs.

Assumption of risk & liability

Boarding, daycare, and group play involve inherent risks, including but not limited to injury or illness resulting from interactions with other animals, accidental injury, escape, or aggravation of a pre-existing condition. You acknowledge and assume these risks. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release and hold harmless VIP Boarding & Daycare and its owners, employees, and agents from any liability, claim, or expense arising from your pet's stay, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.

Personal belongings

You may provide food, medication, bedding, or toys for your pet. While we take reasonable care of items left with us, we are not responsible for loss of or damage to personal belongings.

Late pick-up & abandoned pets

Please pick up your pet during our posted business hours. Additional daycare or boarding charges may apply for late pick-ups. A pet not retrieved within ten (10) days of the scheduled pick-up date, and for which we have been unable to reach the Owner, may be considered abandoned and handled in accordance with applicable California law.

Changes to these Terms
